Ecosure, a registered funeral service provider underwritten by Econet Life, has been providing funeral cover to Zimbabweans for the past decade. To commemorate this milestone, they aimed to create a TVC that not only celebrates their 10th anniversary but also reinforces their value proposition through a lighthearted yet impactful approach. Brave Studios was chosen to produce this TVC, leveraging their expertise in creating engaging and memorable content.
Strategy & Scripting (Dicomm McCann):
The TVC strategy, as reflected in the provided script and mood analysis, utilizes humor and social commentary to contrast the often-challenging aspects of traditional funerals with the streamlined and supportive services offered by EcoSure. The script tells a story of Mbuya vaTendai at a local market who, upon seeing an EcoSure funeral tent, humorously attempts to partake in the funeral proceedings despite not being directly related to the deceased. This scenario cleverly highlights the perceived benefits of EcoSure, such as organized catering and on-site support, while subtly commenting on the potential logistical and financial burdens associated with traditional funerals. The announcer’s voiceover emphasizes the message that with EcoSure, one can plan for a dignified farewell for their loved ones, starting from an affordable premium.
